ComfyStudio has arrived.
ComfyStudio collaborates with active VFX specialists, animation experts, and pipeline engineers alongside the ComfyUI team during focused development cycles to create flexible and expandable hybrid processes. All constructed workflows are published as open-source resources, covering initial assets through final output.
ComfyUI currently operates within numerous industry production chains. Professionals handling integration navigate this independently under tight schedules using tools not originally crafted for their environment. While technically adept individuals influence this domain significantly, diverse practitioners also hold crucial perspectives. ComfyStudio exists to amplify varied professional voices and establish implementable hybrid methodologies.
I'm pleased to announce Timothy Paul Bielec and myself as founding studio directors. Our creative partnership began in 2017, with deep immersion in generative AI since late 2022. Recently at Asteria, we oversaw model training and pipeline advancement for projects including "A Love Letter to LA," "Chikaboom," and "All Heart." Subsequently at Moonvalley, a fully licensed foundational model firm, we helped establish post-training teams and support studio-level implementation. My background spans scenic, character, and illustrative design while Timothy is a formally trained percussionist and music producer. We consistently prioritize enhancing artists through AI rather than replacing them.
ComfyStudio's inaugural invitation for resident creators is currently available. We seek practicing VFX specialists, animation professionals, and pipeline experts thoroughly versed in their craft with perspectives on AI's role in actual productions. Existing ComfyUI expertise isn't required - those cautiously exploring AI are equally welcome.
